Hi, this is Robert Galarowicz, founder of HealthyKidneyInc.com which is all about helping people treat their chronic kidney disease naturally.
In today’s video, I’ll be discussing a bit about children and kidney disease. When your children are diagnosed with kidney disease, it’s natural for parents to feel overwhelmed and it’s only normal to scour the internet for whatever natural remedies for kidney disease you can find.
But kidney disease doesn’t have to be the prelude to kidney failure, if parents help their children avoid it by following the tips I discuss in this video. Always keep a consistent watch on their blood pressure. When children with kidney disease exhibit signs of consistently high blood pressure, it’s important to get to the underlying causes and correct them, so as to lower blood pressure to a more stable rate.
Limiting junk food is a very big way to help your child with kidney disease. Children and kidney disease often go hand-in-hand with a poor diet, so it’s vital that every step be taken to create meals only from the finest, freshest organic foods and keep junk foods as far away as possible. This also applies to sugary beverages! It’s important to keep soda consumption as limited as possible and opt instead for water or even fruit juice that’s been diluted. This gives your kids the sweet flavor they crave, but with a fraction of the sugar content, leading to less of a strain on the kidneys’ filtration system and healthier outcomes.
Encourage your child to exercise and stay active doing something they enjoy. Bicycling, running, swimming, etc. There are so many physical activities to choose from, so encourage them to find one they like and partake of it as frequently as possible. With many children leading progressively more sedentary lifestyles than ever before due to the abundance of technology, it’s important to create healthier outlets for your child to avoid obesity and excessive weight gain, which can place an added burden on the kidneys and/or contribute to high blood pressure and diabetes which also stress the kidneys.
