Ashley Martson, a cast member who appeared in the sixth season of TLC’s ’90 Day Fiancé,’ is back home healing after being in the hospital for kidney failure stemming from lupus.
On January 19th, Martson, who is 31, informed her followers about her slow recovery and how she hopes to go back to work in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, followers of Martson have been helping her with donations via GoFundMe to help her cover unexpected medical costs and loss of income for which she is very thankful.
She advised on Instagram that she will continue her battle with lupus, which she claims is a horrible disease and, although she just had an operation, she said she was not going to miss her daughter’s game.
On January 15th Martson had surgery and began dialysis just 2 days after she was found unresponsive and subsequently sent to the emergency room. Her doctors hope that the dialysis is just temporary and that it will help her kidneys repair themselves.
Martson is not the first celebrity with kidney problems due to lupus. Previous reports have chronicled the ongoing kidney-related struggles of stars such as ‘Modern Family’s’ Sarah Hyland, pop singer Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey’s ex-husband Nick Cannon just to name a few.
